The Travel world has become more and more complicated as the industry continues to evolve. If you are an avid traveler, or would like to be, then the New York Travel Festival is where you’ll want to be. On April 20-21st, the city will host its first travel festival–and it’s going to be nothing like your usual trade show. The show promises to be interactive, with tours, cooking classes and more!

The event will be held at Bohemian National Hall on New York’s Upper East Side. Not only will visitors will be able to attend panels discussing the latest trends in travel, there will also be cooking classes as well as food and wine tastings. Many of the travel industry’s heavy hitters will be there discussing every aspect in the world of travel from eco-tourism to food & wine.

Andrew Evans, National Geographic’s Digital Nomad, will deliver the keynote address. Other notable speakers like Valarie D’Elia, host of NY1’s “Travel with Val,” Lee Abbamonte, the youngest American to visit every country on earth, and Robert ReidLonely Planet’s U.S. travel editor. The breakout sessions will focus on local/regional travel, as well as five niches: Adventure & Outdoor, Cultural, Food & Wine, Gay & Lesbian and Responsible & Eco/Sustainable. There will also be on-site cooking classes available to VIP ticket holders.

On Sunday, the show hits the road and participants can choose to take part in one of several different self-guided and guided experiences including food tastings, tours, cultural events and other hands on activities.
