The Affordable Art Fair Returns to New York City

Last night I had the pleasure to attend a kickoff party for the Affordable Art Fair. Their motto is, “Art always fits” and the fair curates an incredible collection, with works priced from $100-$10,000 (with a majority under $5,000). As my regulars know, I’m a huge fan of all types of art but sadly my budget does not usually allow me to frequent your typical art gallery every time I redecorate. And that’s why I think the Affordable Art Fair’s concept is so cool–there are pieces for every budget. Because even us budget-conscious connoisseurs aren’t going to have bare walls. No, chances are many of you hit up Bed Bath and Beyond for your run-of-the-mill prints to hang up. While I’m not knocking these–I do have a few after all, I would obviously have an original piece that not just anyone can buy.

The Affordable Art Fair will be returning to The Tunnel (one of the most recognizable buildings in Chelsea) this October to celebrate its fall edition. At the last spring event, over $4 Million dollars worth of artwork was purchased. The fall Fair promises to deliver a brilliant showcase of original pieces within New Yorkers’ reach. What else? They’re giving the people what they want–purchased artwork is available to take home the same day! The Affordable Art Fair will be showing in 15 cities internationally this year, so be sure to check out if they’ll be in a city near you!

The kickoff celebration was awesome–as just about any party at a W Hotel proves to be. The gliteratti partied it up while they perused the fabulous artwork.
