This is Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich's first new restaurant in nearly a decade, (they're behind classics like Babbo and Del Posto). La Sirena is a modern take on a traditional Italian trattoria. The menu ranges from old-school classics like beef braciole to modern options like lamb chops with chickpea-flour fritters. But pasta is still going to be the star—and indecisive diners can even do a tasting of two pastas for $24 per person. Also highly recommend the soft shell crab right now. Located in the Maritime Hotel, there is a spacious outdoor space too."
@travelpanties: "Tried out IMAX shift this weekend. It was totally worth the commute to Brooklyn...and if you know me, that's saying a lot. Riders are given shoes and towels and then left to set out on their own journey. Every ride is unique. In ours we went to a rock concert, soared above city landscapes and also enjoyed gorgeous visions on the massive screen. Oh and took a roller coaster ride with Missy Elliot. Love, love, loved it. This ride was a media comp but I'll be going back and willing to pay the $31/ride."

From the folks who brought you Phillipe and Lure Fishbar, it's an upscale Chinese housed in the former Limelight club with menu from a former Buddakhan alum. I recommend going for small plates and drinks in the magical garden."

Loi Esiatorio in midtown is Greek heaven. Definitely the best, authentic cuisine I've had in the city in a while. I'll definitely be back soon."
